Youth Savings Accounts

Domino Federal Credit Union offers two (2) youth savings account products; Savvy Savers Account and NextGen Accounts. The purpose of these accounts is to promote savings and expand financial capacity for minors, while building opportunities for financial inclusion for families. Savvy Savers and NextGen accounts require an adult, who is 18 years of older, to be a co-owner on the account with the minor. Although the minor is an owner of the Savvy Saver and NextGen Accounts, the minor must be 16 years of age in order to independently make withdrawals from the account. Debit Cards are not allowed on Savvy Saver Savings nor NextGen Savings Accounts. However, once turning 16, a minor is eligible for a Share Draft Account to be opened which would allow a them to have a Debit Card.
